Carroll McNulty & Kull represents architects, engineers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, materialmen, sureties, public entities and private owners on all aspects of construction projects — ranging from single family homes to multimillion dollar public infrastructure projects. Construction professionals can rely on us for solid legal advice and representation during all phases of construction.

Our ultimate goal in any matter is to help our clients avoid or minimize disputes. When claims arise, we work to resolve them quickly, economically, and to the utmost satisfaction of our client. However, while we are adept at finding creative business solutions to construction and surety disputes, we also possess the tenacity and experience to pursue or defend claims through every level of trial or arbitration. For example, we recently obtained a verdict of "no cause" after a six-month jury trial, successfully defending a construction contractor against $7 million in claims arising out of the construction of a multi-unit condominium project. In arbitration, we secured the complete exoneration of a surety faced with claims exceeding $1 million arising out of the construction of a public school. The arbitrators also awarded the surety the full amount of its' delay/impact claim plus pre-award interest after consideration of the testimony and proofs presented over the course of more than 40 hearing dates.

Our experience in all facets of construction matters includes:

Drafting and negotiating contracts for contractors, design professionals and owners
Preparing public contract bidding documents and "front end" specifications
