Denise Marra DePekary Authors “Identity Theft and A Company’s Bottom Line” in New Jersey Business
October 2009 –
Denise Marra DePekary, member of CMK, authored “Identity Theft and A Company’s Bottom Line” for the October issue of New Jersey Business. The article focused on the important – but often unknown - fact that much of the financial burden of identity theft can fall to businesses that fail to follow the laws dictating the handling of their customers’ propriety information or are careless in the management and control of that information. In her article, DePekary detailed New Jersey’s Identity Theft Prevention Act and procedures that businesses can put in place to avoid these costly liability issues.
