Maplewood Resident Brings Extensive Commercial Litigation, Products Liability and Insurance Coverage Experience to Basking Ridge Law Firm
BASKING RIDGE, N.J., June 30, 2008 – Carroll McNulty & Kull LLC (CMK) of Basking Ridge, N.J., has announced that
Timothy B. Parlin has joined the law firm as an associate. A resident of Maplewood, N.J., Parlin will focus his practice on commercial litigation and products liability.
In 1997,
Christopher Carroll,
Joseph McNulty and
Gary Kull founded CMK, creating a culture based on client service, professional excellence and trust. This philosophy has resulted in the impressive growth of CMK, which also has an office in Manhattan. The firm now includes 38 attorneys and has plans for further expansion. CMK’s core
practice areas are insurance coverage, construction and surety, insurance defense, commercial disputes and business counseling, and employment.
“Tim’s background fits perfectly with our firm,” said Kull, CMK’s founding and managing member. “He has a range of insurance coverage experience including issues regarding advertising injury, environmental, bad faith, business torts, and directors and officers liability. Throughout his years of practice, Tim has successfully represented clients in arbitration as well as in federal and state court litigation and is a well-respected member of the legal community. His vast experience will serve our clients well.”
Parlin is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York as well as the District Court of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. In addition, he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Second and Third Circuits.
Prior to joining CMK, Parlin was an associate in the New Jersey office of Rivkin Radler LLP, where he practiced commercial litigation and products liability defense and represented insurance companies in insurance coverage litigation. Previously, he was an associate in the Mass and Toxic Tort Practice Group of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman of Morristown, N.J., focusing on commercial litigation and products liability defense
involving pharmaceutical products for two leading pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he worked at a number of top law firms in Manhattan, concentrating his practice on litigation, products liability and insurance coverage.
“Since I have represented a wide range of clients in my career, I feel equally comfortable practicing in the commercial litigation, products liability and insurance coverage spheres,” noted Parlin. “CMK’s practice, unlike other firms, affords me the opportunity to continue advising clients in all of these practice areas without limitation.”
Parlin earned his bachelor’s degree in advertising from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, his master’s degree in advertising from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and his juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable David O. Belew, Jr., United States District Court, North District of Texas, Fort Worth Division.
