Richard possesses extensive experience in the representation and litigation on behalf of companies engaged in international and domestic transportation and trade. He currently serves as the United States general counsel to a number of global transportation service companies tending to their transportation, regulatory and commercial interests. This includes handling multi-million dollar acquisitions and sales as well as providing advice and representation before numerous federal administrative agencies tasked with regulation of domestic and international trade and transportation.

In particular, Richard is skilled in the complex new laws and regulations that have evolved since 9/11, dealing with securing goods in transit from being used by terrorists and others as a means of attacking U.S. citizens and interests. Throughout his years of practice he has worked with insurance companies and brokers, non-vessel operating common carriers, domestic and international indirect air carriers, truckers, warehousemen, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and importers and exporters.
